The food-grade PET sheet extrusion line transforms washed post-consumer bottle flakes directly into sheet for food thermoforming. The bottle-to-sheet process removes intermediate pelletizing and a second melting stage, reducing energy consumption, material handling and the cost per kilogram of sheet. PET flakes are prepared in the safPET vacuum drying system without yellowing and with viscosity retention. The dried material enters the extruder, where it is melted and homogenized under precise temperature control. The decolorization process corrects melt color and helps produce clear, uniform sheet.
